In order to contain the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), some precautionary measures are required to be taken by all the employees and the Ministries/Departments. In this regard, the advisory board of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), India has decided on a set of guidelines. These guidelines are meant to protect the citizens of the country, when followed properly and reduce the spread of the virus. The guidelines require the closing down of gyms, restaurants and other public places so that people cannot mingle freely. This restriction curbs the community spreading of the virus. Moreover the guidelines pronounce the mandatory use of thermal scanners at all offices and government buildings to check the body temperature of the employees. ICMR further mentions more guidelines on isolation and precautions to be taken for home quarantine. The preventive measures mentioned for isolation involve maintaining 6 feet distance in public and staying at home until absolutely necessary to leave.
Both the general guidelines for public sectors and the isolation guidelines for every citizen prioritise the fact that the graph of the coronavirus must be brought down to save the country and its men.
